The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is conducted every year by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai. The exam aims at providing admissions to students who aspire to join the Technology and Engineering programs such as B.tech or BE in private or government colleges inside Maharashtra. Apart from B.Tech and BE programs, admissions for pharmacy programmes such as B.Pharma and Pharma.D are also available. Over four lakh applicants appear each year for the MHT CET exam. The exam is purely online and conducted separately for PCM and PCB at several examination centres across Maharashtra or outside the state.
Candidates need to know about the exam thoroughly before attempting it. The MHT CET has no negative marking and is of Multiple Choice Question(MCQ) pattern. There are one hundred and fifty questions in total. Each question has four answers out of which the students need to choose the correct one. The exam duration is three hours out of which Physics and Chemistry combined are 90 minutes. Mathematics or Biology(Botany and Zoology) is 90 minutes. The most crucial factor which determines the success to crack any exam is sheer persistence and practice. The best way to practice for any exam is through solving its previous year question papers or sample question papers. But the real problem arises when one does not know where to find them.

It can be advantageous in certain situations where a specific practised question appears in the question paper.
